Hi lads,
maybe someone could tell me which ports by default are used for the UPNP AV server in the DNS-323 ?
I actually have a Musicpal Freecom and i have difficulties to play the music via UPNP.
I can connect and list the directories but i can't play the music... so i suppose the protocol for UPNP is using an UDP and TCP port, i would like to know them (if they are fixed) in order to set up correctly the router (i imagine it is my fault...but maybe not after all what i read about this built in application)
thx for your support.
my version of the DNS-323 is the european 1.03, my router is running under DD-WRT.

This is probably not a router issue - not unless the Musicpal and the DNS-323 are on opposite sides of the router (ie one inside your network and the other outside)

Hi fordem,
thx for your participation and no, the 2 devices are in my network (both local IP) connected to the router (see schema). I have tried to install a upnp software on my computer which is as well in the same network and it works fine...

The UPnP server works with the DNS-323. Its structure is not great....but it works. If you can, I would look at installing another Media Server such as Twonky. Go to the How To and install Fonz's fun_plug. This enables Telnet. Then you can load Twonky....
