I think this has been answered before but is it possible to rename the volumes or at least the network share names of the drives?
I have 2 DNS-323s used with OSx. They both work fine except for sometimes when reconnecting it gets the volume names mixed up and will access the wrong drive. This mainly seems to affect time machine as it only seems to store the share name in preferences (typically Volume_1). Ideally I'd like to have Volume_1, Volume_2, Volume_3 and Volume_4.
In the network setup for the DNS it does show a share name column which is always set to the volume name. Anyone know how to change this in samba 3.x?
