Problem with FTP Timeout

Hi,

I'm having a problem when i try to acces the ftp that certain folders timeout. i have created a group called ADMIN and given it read and write with access to root. i created a user called john-rock and assigned it to the ADMIN group. i have tried to access files from where i work and on larger folders like "my music" which is like 20-30GB it times out. i have set the idle time and the max users to max. i am currently running fw 1.04 found on the german dlink site.

any suggestions would be great

thanks,

Re: Problem with FTP Timeout

Hmm.. I have the same problem with the 1.4 firmware. The connection tend to timeout rather quickly. Although the ftp software I use (filezilla) can resume where the connection dropped, it is still a hassle particularly if the connection is slow or doing file/folder operations.

Just wondering if it's a simple setting somewhere to make it more stable, short of chrooting into debian's ftp server?
