Use chroot debian. Then you have access to all perl stuff you need.

Well thanks for the feedback but i'm going that way.
I prefer to try and compile it for the dns-323, like someone did with subversion.

Pretty soon everyone has done a chroot environment.... It is not much difference from using what is already out there and recompile everything. But its you choice ;-)

looks like i need to check how its done. if it doesn't requires any hardware hack i may try it.

chroot debian only requires some diskspace. Nothing else. You can turn it on or off in the fun-plug.
As simple as that.
