How to permanently change home directory?

Hi all! Pretty new to the fun_plug stuff, but it's very cool! I'm running a DNS-323 with the 1.03 firmware and fun_plug 0.3.

I looked around the forum a bunch, but I didn't come up with anything specific to this issue, so here goes...

I ran the change-homedir.sh script and successfully changed my home directory, putting it on the disk. But after a re-boot, the home directory is back to its original location (/home/ftp).

So my question is, how do I make the change survive a reboot? I suspect that a script that runs at start up should have a line in it something like:

change-homedir.sh my_user_name

... or something similar. I'm not sure what script should be edited, though.

Any tips?

Thanks in advance!

That's an option. Another option is to run store-passwd.sh. Home directories are stored in /etc/passwd, store-passwd.sh will write it to flash.

Re: How to permanently change home directory?

Thanks for the quick reply! I went ahead and ran the store-passwd script. Worked like a charm! Now I can do password-less ssh smile
