I recently purchased a DNS-323 for the purpose of a RAID 1 backup of my powerbook and MACs I will own in the future.
I use an airport extreme connected to a DSL modem. Using the web interface I set up the 323 and was backing up fine. I hooked up an airport express and reconfigured the airport extreme and I no longer know what ip address has been assigned to the DNS-323... Meaning I can't connect to the device.

How did you initially configure the DNS-323? Was it static or dynamic ip addressing?
What changes did you make when you reconfigured the airport extreme? Did you change the ip addressing schema?
Out of the box - the DNS-323 is configured for dynamic addressing and will acquire an ip address from your DHCP server (if you have one) - if you did not change this, you should be able to find the ip address by checking the DHCP client list on the DHCP server.
If you did set a static address, then you should know what you set it for.
If you did not change the ip addressing schema when you reconfigured the airport extreme, you should be able to find the DNS-323 at the last address it had.
If none of this works - there is a pin reset switch on the back - reset it and start over.

Thank you for your help.
I reconfigured my airport to bridge mode and was able to reconnect to the DNS-323 at a previously saved address. (it has a static ip address.)
Do you have any tips on using it as an itunes server?

@djaysamsonite
just enable itunes server within the 323 with the correct folder path
results may very dependent on network topology you are utilizing
