Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Help, how can I:
1) read smart-information from disks in dns-323?
2) start defragmentation and scandisk, if I have firmware 1.04?

You can read http://dns323.kood.org/forum/t1186-DNS- … ystem.html
for information about disk repair.

Thanks! And what about defrag and SMART? Especially SMART...

Well, the D-Link FW v1.03 does not have any S.M.A.R.T. utility software,
If you install Fonz's fun_plug you could get telnet access to your DNS-323 and
then you could try to install a S.M.A.R.T. utility.
Do you know which S.M.A.R.T. utility you would like to run?
Another way would be to install Debian (chroot or native) then use
the apt-get program to install smartmontools. That might be what
you want?
I have to ask you why you think you need to run a defragmentation tool
on you drive? The DNS-323 uses a file system called ext2 and the ext2 filesystem
does not suffer significant performance loss when files are fragemented.
For a better explanation of fragmentation read http://www.itworld.com/Comp/3380/nls_un … index.html
