My Vonage voice terminal stopped working, so my 323's static IP is no good now...
I have to reset it to DHCP...
From reading the forum, it appears this is the safest way to reset and ensure no data lost:
1. Power off the device
2. Remove one drive
3. Power on the device
4. Hold the pin reset for 10-15 seconds
5. Power off
6. Put the drive back in
7. Power on the device
8. Use the DLink software to locate and configure the device
9. Resume using the 323
Thank you, Tom

There is no need to reset the DNS-323.
As long as you know the static ip address of the DNS-323 all you need to do is set a static address in the same subnet on your computer and then log in to the web admin page and change the address, either to DHCP or a different static address.

I knew about everything you say above, but the whole network got messed up...
I finally got something set up so I could see the the DNS323, and I thought I got it reset.
Now after I finally have the network re-setup again so I could have Internet connectivity, now the DNS323 is not even visible to the EasySearch 3.5 utility...
I have tried everything I can remember about how I had had the DNS323 set up, to no avail.
Therefore...is my above procedure correct for resetting the DNS323??
Thank you, Tom
P.S. I'm going to try rebooting again...my zillionth reboot today

All you need to know is the subnet - set a static ip in the right subnet on the PC and EasySearch should find the DNS-323.
Other than that - just push the reset button and hold it down for 10 seconds or so - don't bother with removing drives and power the unit on & off.
