Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Hey
I've been blurring thru some of the messages and Ive seen many of you recommend the ext2 format (thats whats the swedish support told me to change to also) since I've had some problem with moving large files.
The problem is that I can't find out how to format the drive, is it done via DOS or via the web interface? I also wonder what this whole fun_plug is all about? I couldent find any prober discribtion of what it does so If any of you would like to tell me, feel free too
btw I'm moving to this DNS from a sc101(netgear) wich I can't express in words how big of a POS it were......so if anyone want to buy it
anyway looking forward to answer. thanks in advance

To re-format the drives, log in as admin and go to Tools -> RAID -> "Set RAID Type And Re-Format"

It's a thing that makes the black-box a white-box (And I don't mean that the DNS will be a SC0101). It's a thing that allows you to see the internals of the unit. It's a tool for you to be able to execute things on the DNS which it was not intended to.
...or to be technical, it's a script which is called, by the Linux system upon which the DNS is built , while it boots allowing you to start whatever program you can compile for the unit. The first thing you want to do is to get a telnet deamon running and then logon.....
