Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.
You are not logged in.
I have a group with users. The group has full read/write to folder /FTP.
I want all users in this group only to be able to read from all subdirs except the /FTP/Upload dir where they should be able to upload files as well.
Because of the lack of different permissions to different folders i have chmod the directories to 0775 except for the /Upload dir that's been chmod to 0777 = it now works like i want it to work.
The problem is this is effected to all accounts regardless of using samba, telnet (except root) or ftp.
So i have to change permissions (temporary chmod directory to 0777) every time i want to transfer new files to the subdirectories (except Upload). Is there some way to archive this setup so i dont have to do this everytime?
Can i add my ftp and samba user to the 0775 group somehow?
Sorry if this is a very basic question but im a *nix newbie
Thanks,
marca

I also would like to know how this can be done.
Thanks

To accomplish this you will need a better understanding of how to specify
file permissions for users and groups in Linux.
I'd suggest a Google search for 'Linux permissions user group' and
start reading, then post more specific questions, if you have them.
