Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.
You are not logged in.
Strange things are going on...
Obviously I don't have access to the administration webpage of my DNS-323 anymore. I'm not sure but I believe there was a folder on my Volume_1 where a webpage was located. This folder seems to be disappeared.
Does anyone have a suggestion how to access the administration page again?
Thanks a lot!!!!

No, the admin pages are not stored there, so you have not accidentally deleted them.
how are you trying to access the admin page (ip address or hostname)?
has anything changed on your network setup?
can you ping the nas?
can you access vol_1 using your usual method ?
I am assuming that rebooting / shutting down/restarting the unit doesn't bring the web interface back.

I'm accessing via easy search from DLINK and browser + IP, but it doesn't work.
When I'm typing <ip>/web it works... Maybe there was a link that was deleted?
Reboot doesn't work.
I'm using firmware 1.05 and fun_plug.

The whole web interface is stored in flash - you can't delete them. None of it is stored on your hdd - which is why you can access the web interface even when there are no hdds in the unit.
You say that browser + ip doesn't work but browser + ip/web does work ?
You could try a factory reset (restore default config) or reflashing with 1.05 or 1.04 f/w. Have you taken any of the drives out recently or swapped them, or has this 'just happened'? Have you another webserver running on the box?

I have the exact same issue whenever the number of active torrents on my DNS-323 add up to at least 5 or more.

I'm a newbie but I did have this issue (not accessing the NAS after bitorrent a few files) with 1.05. I shutdown the NAS, unplug for 1 min, plug the power cord and power on the unit. All things came back as usual. Hope this will help.

I'm having a similar problem.. here is a sequence of events
1) Had 1.03 running with fun_plug 0.5 .. updated flash with new shadow password file for diff user acces
2) lighttpd, ajaxtem, transmission/clutch installed, all working
3) 2 volumes mounted with extfs2, no raid used
4) Upgraded to 1.05 ... web interface seemed to update ok, put would not display the new version after reboot.. tried it again 2 times
5) Manually rebooted DNS-323, ALMOST everything came back up fine, Upnp and streaming seems to works as well for my PS3, so I'm assuming 1.05 was loaded
6) builtin web server will NOT load, port not open, old url invalid, but ftp, telnet, lighttpd and everything else still works
7) tried to run webs ranually on unit, it core dumped (where do the core dumps go?) after complaining of "Quota exceeded" or something. Tried to disable user quotas and restarting webs, but same error
8) tried physically swaping volumes and rebooting, only 1 volume, etc but no web access.
9) tried nuking tasks that were resource intensive, like ajax-python, clutch, to free up resources to restart webs .. but no luck
10) Got desperate, installed cleanboot and tried again to get webs up
11) Found file system errors in dmsg.out, ran efsck and fixed them on both volumes.. still no luck after reboot
btw, lighttpd is using port 8080, which didn't conflict with 1.03 web access. What should the default port be? I'm assuming it should still be 80 for the internal web server.
The auto-find tool has been useless to fix this, tried many versions of it , new and old.
Is there a way to reflash with 1.06 without using kermit over a serial link? Any ideas on why the builtin webserver won't start ?
any logs I can pull that would provide useful info ?

another person just had a web GUI won't start problem take a look at
this post http://dns323.kood.org/forum/t3576-acce … -edit.html
if that doesn't help, please post the output of the /web/webs command

Good thread.. i'll give the suggestions a try.

My ddns.conf was truncated, replacing it did the trick.
But I seem to have size issues on one of my mounted filesystems, this is what I got when I tried to save my ddnf.conf via the web interface
rm: cannot remove `/tmp/get_magic_number_ok': No such file or directory

rm: cannot remove `/web/ddns_start': No such file or directory
cp: Write Error: No space left on device

I'm sure this has been seen elsewhere.. wasn't there a comment about 1.05 and 1.06 being larger than 1.04 ?

I did see the errors about "magic_number -- No such file" in the
telnet window when I restarted 'webs' manually. However, when
I rebooted the DNS-323 the web GUI and ddns pages seem to be fine.
Do you see any problems after reboot?

Yes, I seem to have problems saving any setting via the web interface.. it looks like there's some kind of issue saving to flash.
Rebooting via the web interface or by >reboot hangs the system with 2 purple disks. Hoilding down the power button will clear this however.
This is what I see running from the console after a reboot with 1.06, newly updated (with various stuff from ffp 0.5)

Anybody make any progress with this issue? I am seeing very similar (same) types of output at the command prompt as rmohid. I'm also running 1.06 (upgraded from 1.04) and installed ffplug 0.5.
SMB mounts work fine but can't get web admin access. What the heck is the expected output of the /web/webs command? I get what rmohid got.
