Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

hi,
is it possible to run shoutcast on DNS323?
the shoutcast server is a really simple program.
i have an unmodified DNS323 only with telnet access.
i think it must be possible to run shoutcast as a funplug very easy, but i'm not sure and before i make mistakes, i better ask for help.
what du you think? is it possible?
can you help me?
greetz,
erox.

Yes you can, you don't need debian or ffp if you don't want them. First you will need to install a telnet client:
http://dns323.kood.org/howto:telnet
then install optware
http://dns323.kood.org/howto:optware
You could have a fun_plug with both telnet and the mount / path (for optware) commands (or you can retype these on every boot/run a script manually to do it for you). Not quite sure what you mean by "(no package)" though. But to be honest, why not just install ffp (which i.a. includes telnet and ssh) and then optware (you need to add the mount/path commands to the end of the ffp fun_plug) - they take up hardly any disk space and just sit there until you need them?
