change homedir, telnet security, ssh shell

Hi,
A few unrelated questions (as they are all short & simple I thought I might save several posts):

1. What is the preferred method of changing the home directory?  I note that there was a change-homedir.sh in ffp 0.3, but I am using 0.5.  So, should I edit /etc/passwd and then run store-passwd.sh ?
2. Why does the entry in passwd for ssh have /bin/false as the shell?  What is its purpose, why not /ffp/bin/sh like the other entries?
3. For now I have telnet running as well as ssh, I will disable telnet in time.  However, I can telnet not only as root, but also as admin (password=web interface password) and nobody (no password at all).  Why does nobody have no password (even though /etc/shadow says nobody:encryptedpasswdhere:0:0:99999:7::: )?  Is this expected behaviour?
4.  If I ssh to the box I can login as admin, but am prompted to change password as it is expired.  Can't login as nobody via ssh.  Is this expected behaviour?  /etc/passwd says sshd:x:33:33:sshd:/:/bin/false and /etc/shadow sshd:*:9797:0:::::

thanks
lu
