ssh login times

Hi,

after upgrading to fw 1.06 and funplug 0.5 I enabled ssh.
Ssh login works, but takes literaly ages to get me to the command line.

It takes about 5-10 seconds until the "Login as:" prompt comes up.
Once the username is entered it takes a good half minute until the password-requests becomes display.

After that the login goes through and normal response times can be seen.

Client is putty, btw.

Is that normal?

Cheers,

Emacs

Re: ssh login times

Check if dns resolving is working properly on the dns-323. Can it reverse resolve your IP? If not maybe you should add a host entry in /etc/hosts.

I.e

# nslookup x.x.x.x

Re: ssh login times

Adding a line to the /etc/hosts on the DNS323 did the trick (resolving the ip address of the accessing client PC).

But I guess, that's not a permanent change and a reboot will reset the /etc/hosts.
Right?

Right?

See http://dns323.kood.org/forum/t1971-Chan … eboot.html for ways to auto add the values.
