Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

I just bought DNS 323 + 2 GP 1TB. I did some research on wiki but find no a tutorial for beginners. Could anyone provide a simple procedure that what I need to do first and then? I just need to download BTorrent and watch videos on PC. Thanks a lot.
Another question: Can I browser the file on 323 just like browsing the file on a portable hard drive? (i.e. see a driver icon in "My Computer")

That's a bit of an opened ended question - what do you want to do with the 323. The box comes with a cd so you can get the unit up and running. You need to decide what format you want to use (raid/no raid/JBOD) etc.

Firmware 1.06 includes a bugfix for the built-in bit torrent client. I don't use it or that f/w myself, so can't comment, but you may wish to upgrade the firmware before installing the hard disks. You also need to use a recent version of the easy search to activate the onboard bt client. Many people here use Transmission. Have a look at the wiki http://dns323.kood.org/howto:bittorrent.

Thanks. So if I don't want to use build-in application, installing fun_plug seems to be the first step.

Not to poach the thread, but I've just bought my DNS 323. I've upgraded to 1.06 and have set pretty well everything I can with the D-link firmware. Now I'm venturing into fun_plug.
I installed ffp0.5, and have been using the telnet server. So far I've also downloaded cleanboot, and the fsck customkernel thing, and am running it now.
The ffp installation says I should install all of fonz's packages because if I pick and choose then I'll have dependency issues. Is this what everyone is doing? I don't want to start all these services if I'm not going to use them.
Thank you!
