Hi, i wanted to telnet into my DNS323 box and did so with no problem but once in it "non-standard" setup and i can't seem to find anything (i am accustomed to suse helps). I wanted to look at one of the drives but the /dev/ dir doesn't have any devices listed and i can't find the root directory etc. I have been reading something about the root account being disabled and using ffp to enable or something? Any insight would really be appreciated (if installing ffp will "solve everything" then i guess i can do that but i just want to be able to log in to cp some files from one drive to the other etc nothing fancy).
Cheers

if you have telnet access to your box then you have root access. There are several ways to get telnet access, but if you haven't installed ffp then how have you gone about it? (I think that) the drives are referenced differently depending on how you have set them up, but try
cd /mnt/HD_a2
that takes you to the root of Volume_1 (on my box with raid1 at least)
I don't quite understand what you mean with "non-standard" setup.

@gaikokujinkyofusho, please explain how you modified your DNS-323 to gain telnet access.
