Hi.
Often when I shut down my computer, I want to shut down my dns.
Now I could go to the webinterface, and shut it down, but I'd like a little script on my desktop, that I can just click, to have the dns-323 shut down.
Is this possible? and how would I do it?
I have no experience creating such scripts...

Yes it is possible. There are two ways that have been discussed on this forum - using a script to issue the post request (which in effect clicks the shutdown button in the web gui), or using the vista sidebard gadget from philw (where you click a shutdown button). I think there was also another method using putty (or a program from the putty suite) to login to the dns323 console without prompting for username and password and then touching a shutdown file. If you want to create your own you just need a html page or a script which gets the webgui page where the shutdown button is located and then simulate a button click.
