good morning.
I just a trouble with my actual DNS-323 the network doen'st work any more. It's due to the thunder that fall on a tree in the garden. all the equipements connected to my network was damaged.
I have bought a new DNS-323 and I would like to put the disks comming from the old one to the new one.
my old configuration:
firmware : 1.04
raid 1
I would like to know if there is a risk to loose my data when I will put the old disk in the new DNS-323. what I should do to be sure to not loose datas ?
thanks for your help
Gilles, France (sorry for my english)

Giles - you should be able to just insert the drives with the data into the new DNS-323, power it on and access your data.

if you want to make a backup first you could insert the drives into a windows machine and install ext2ifs - a driver for the filesystem used by (i.a.) the 323. When you connect to the drive set access as R/O not R/W. You can also insert the drives into a linux box (try booting from an ubuntu live cd if you don't have a linux box lying around - that way you can get linux running without having to install it on a machine).
