I want to bridge to my router via WPA

Hey,
I want to use my DSM as a wireless bridge to my router. I would like to use WPA, but the stock firmware doesn't seem to have a working implementation, so I can only use WEP.

Is my best bet Debian? From what I understand Gentoo's wireless isn't working totally?

I also plan on using my DSM as a UPnP server for my xbox 360, do any of you have recommendations for once I have Debian going?

Odd .. I have the same firmware and it's not working for me. And I'm positive I'm configuring everything correctly.

Re: I want to bridge to my router via WPA

I tried the restore the defaults a few times now and still no luck.
I'll try to save the config to a pc then edit.

Thanks for the help. If it doesn't work I think I'll just try and chroot debian and see what I can do with that.

Re: I want to bridge to my router via WPA

Hey my wireless settings wern't set when I grabbed the CfgBackup. I'm not exactly sure what to put in the settings.
I wen't through the html to try and figure out the settings, but now I can't get to the web interface so I'm guessing I have something wrong. This is what I have .. can any one help me with these settings?
This is what I have:

Code:

CF-WL-WIRELESS = "1"
CF-WL-COMM-MODE = "2"
CF-WL-SSID = "Bacon"
CF-WL-CHANNEL = "1"
CF-WL-AUTH = "2"
CF-WL-SECURITY-MODE = "2"
CF-WL-ENCRYPTION-MODE = "3"
CF-WL-KEY-FORMATE = "0"
CF-WL-DEFAULT-KEY = ""
CF-WL-KEY-VALUE-1 = ""
CF-WL-KEY-VALUE-2 = ""
CF-WL-KEY-VALUE-3 = ""
CF-WL-KEY-VALUE-4 = ""
CF-WL-PSK = "password"
CF-Daylight = "f"
CF-WL-MACADDRESS = ""
CF-WL-SIGNAL = ""
CF-WL-CONNECT = "1"
CF-WL-BEGIN-CHANNEL = "1"
CF-WL-END-CHANNEL = "11"
CF-WL-COUNTRY-REGION = "0"
CF-JUMBO = "0"
CF-WL-WIRELESS-MODE = "0"
CF-LINKSPEED = "0"

My router settings are these:
Network Name:    Bacon
Channel:    1 (2412 MHz)
Authentication:    WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK
Encryption:    TKIP
Wireless Mode:  802.11b/g

Edit: Actually I'm connecting to the web interface now but it's still not connecting to my router wirelessly.
