can I add another hard drive??

I currently have 1, 1.5 terabyte HDD installed in my 323.  I would like to add another 1.5 tb drive and set up a RAID 1.  Is this possible without loosing data on the currently installed disk?

Thanks.

Re: can I add another hard drive??

You should back up first. As some firmwares are known to sometimes format the wrong drive.

I am sure I have read on here that as long as the existing HDD is installed in a particular slot (IIRC RHS when looking at the drive from the front) then you can just insert in the new drive in the free slot.

I agree that it 'should work' by just installing the HD in the free slot and proceed with building the RAID1, but to attempt it without backing up first would be an unnecessary risk.
