DNS-321 memory upgrade

Can I increase the memory in my DNS-321?

I see with the new firmware you can up the ram in the 323, but I was wondering if that could be done in the 321.

Thanks!

Re: DNS-321 memory upgrade

Pls search some (quite) old posts.

I think there is some way to add additional 64MB - enough to make difference - but it requires soldering !

Where do you see this ability?

3 * (DNS-323 with 2 * 2TB) = 12TB Running FW v1.08 & FFP v0.5

It's in the firmware update discussion, I assumed it had something to do with the firmware update.  I'm not going to bother with any soldering, I'm hoping a stock 321 in raid 1 can handle a 24/7 full quality feed from a mobotix d24... we'll see smile

Re: DNS-321 memory upgrade

Oh, ok, I thought you meant legit firmware rather than custom and it sounded like you were implying there was some sort of memory setting rather than a hardware update.
