Alt-F install: No space left on root device

Found the great looking alt-f that seems to be able to configure things that d-link deny. Have a B1G device with d-link 1.09 and funplug 0.5 on it. Following the install guide  at point 3

root@tartaros:/# cp /mnt/HD_a2/media/Movie/fun_plug\(2\) /
root@tartaros:/# cp /mnt/HD_a2/media/Movie/Alt-F-0.1B7.tar  /
cp: write error: No space left on device

Huh?

Re: Alt-F install: No space left on root device

Try this command:

Code:

du -h --max-depth=1 --exclude="/mnt/*" /

to report the sizes of directories.

The filesystem root is not the root filesystem smile
The filesystem is mounted at /mnt/HD_a2, which is called a mountpoint, so the root of the filesystem is /mnt/HD_a2.
Bad wording?

You should copy to /mnt/HD_a2

Understand, the root of my harddisk is it. Okay that seems to work much better.

Now the extraction looks well, the alf-f.sh lost the execution bit. Was kicked out from ssh, telnetted in again and missing the alt-f-reloaded.log. The webif is already d-link. Tryin on.....

Odd that alt-f-reloaded.log is not present.

Experience had shown that for increasing the odds of success the right course of action is to return the box back to its pristine state: uninstall add-ons, disable upnp, ftp, itunes, AV server...
Others disable ffp, by renaming the ffp directory to something else.

But I can use "reloaded" with all those services started; however I don't have any dlink add-on.

Re: Alt-F install: No space left on root device

Yes that was the problem, have deactivated most plugins and ffp itself. Then the overlay alt-f started well, the flash was okay on b1g board now. Looks very pretty and the modular addons are really easy to handle.

Thanks!
