/usr/sbin/pppd: You need to create the /dev/ppp device node by
executing the following command as root:
        mknod /dev/ppp c 108 0


If I run the mknod command as suggested the error changes to;

Couldn't open the /dev/ppp device: No such device or address
/usr/sbin/pppd: Please load the ppp_generic kernel module.

Alt-F does not has the ppp_generic kernel module.

Please open a new topic in the Alt-F discussion group and request for it.
When a sufficiently large number of kernel modules justify it, I will create a "kernel modules" package (so give the topic a meaningful name, such as "Request for kernel module")

Obviously, something is going awry, probably due to the chroot.

Unfortunately it's beyond me, on how to fix it...

Some help would be greatly appreciated...
