Re: Packages for FFP 0.7

I join to the 'requesters' group: has anybody compiled sudo for oarm?
I'm not very familiar with the compilation process and I usually waste a lot of time resolving dependencies: do you guys compile directly on the device or make cross-compiling?? Do you have any step by step procedure like this http://code.google.com/p/dns323-builds/ but for 0.7 packets?
Once you've got the txz package, do you have to define a local repository to be able to install it with slacker?
Sorry for the beginner questions.

Thanks,

croca wrote:

do you guys <snip>

I compile this on my NAS, in a screen shell.
The steps I'm basically doing are:

Code:

ionice -c 3 nice screen
mkdir -p packagename/dest/install
echo "description" >packagename/dest/install/DESCR
echo "url" >packagename/dest/install/HOMEPAGE
cd packagename
wget package-url
tar xf package
cd package
./configure --prefix=/ffp
make
DESTDIR=/full/path/to/packagename/dest make install-strip (or ~ install/strip or ~ install)
cd ../dest
PKGDIR=/full/path/to/packagename makepkg package version revision

But in many cases things have to be tweaked. (Tell configure to use ncurses, openssl, ..., first compile dependencies, sometimes small changes in the sourcescode). Before running the install step have a look in Makefile. Sometimes DESTDIR is overwritten.

And no, I don't think I will compile any oarm packages, as the current oarm distro is expected to be obsolete soon. Link.

I think you'd better start over with oabi instead. The FFP 0.7/oarm is known buggy. Link

Re: Packages for FFP 0.7

Could anybody tell me the version of the Logitech Media Server in the /ffp/0.7/arm/packages/ directory: http://ffp.inreto.de/ffp/0.7/arm/packag … -arm-1.txz ?
What other packages need to be installed to install this to DNS-320? Is anywhere a reliable guide about the installation?

Re: Packages for FFP 0.7

Ok, I recompiled arm packages to oarm device.

you can find them here: http://ffp.memiks.fr/pkg/oarm/

For the moment, only these packages IS NOT compiled:
M2Crypto-0.21.1-arm-1
Python-2.7.2-arm-1
libsigc++-2.2.0-arm-1
libpar2-0.2-arm-1
gcc-solibs-4.6.2-arm-1
gcc-4.6.2-arm-1

But I am working on them.

Note: NodeJS is compiled but I think it doesnt work on oarm devices, could you please try ?

Best regards,
Fréd.

As I can see in src package, oarm and oabi compilation is the same.
BUT not library.

So oarm package are the same as oabi if you install oabi ffp.

So it is oabi packages wink

Fréd if you could do that, it would be GREATLY apperciated! smile  I'm about two seconds away from downgrading to fun_plug 0.5 simply due to this issue.

Let me know how soon you might be able to get that up there as I have a client I am trying to configure this for and am on somewhat of a deadline (no pressure!) haha

Thanks again!

Re: Packages for FFP 0.7

Nevermind, I actually figured out how to compile my own packages today and managed to get a version of lftp complied successfully without issue and it's working great!!  Thanks for your help though, I do appreciate it none the less.

Let me know if you would like me to include the compiled packages on this form so that you can add them to your repo and I will be more than happy to do so smile

Re: Packages for FFP 0.7

Here are my compiled packages for LFTP 4.3.5 for fun_plug 0.7 (arm)

GnuTLS 2.10.1 -> http://www.datafilehost.com/download-b20bb7cb.html
LFTP 4.3.5 -> http://www.datafilehost.com/download-419e5904.html

Note that LFTP requires GnuTLS to be installed as well, along with libgcrypt-1.5.0-arm-1.txz and libgpg-error-1.10-arm-1.txz from slacker / fonz' repo.

The source files can be obtained from http://lftp.yar.ru/ and http://www.gnu.org/software/gnutls/

Re: Packages for FFP 0.7

hello,

I have a problem on my 323 rev your trasmission of 2.42 x oarm does not transmit while oabi was 2:50, but I have the opposite problem with logitechmediaserver.
You could fill trasmission 2.50 for oarm? or you can give me a help Mériot to run both (trasmission and ligitech medai server) dns 323 oeabi or oarm?

thanks

I could help trying to compile by myself the required packages, but I don't know how to set up the ffp building environment (actually I have a virtualbox bulding machine to build optware packages for dns323, with which I built mpd and amule-adunanza)
So why don't share the whole project on a svn server, like google project?

Did svn with ffp 0.5 build scripts. Didn't like it much. My scripts for 0.7 are here: http://ffp.inreto.de/ffp/0.7/src/ (or via rsync at rsync://ffp.inreto.de/ffp/0.7/src ).
Please note that optware usually cross-compiles packages, but I don't.

If you're looking for a repository that you can contribute to, you may be interested in
http://code.google.com/p/ffp-additional/ and http://code.google.com/p/dns323-builds/
I don't know if the project owners read this forum, though, or if they're care about 0.7.

Thanks for a wonderful job

I have a question regarding downloading and building packages

for ffp0.5 there existed a script called make.sh that was used to download distfiles and building packages

Is there a similar script to build ffp0.7 or Im I intended  to download the logitechmediaserver-7.7.1-noCPAN.tgz
distfiles manually and use the logitechmediaserver.funpkg to compile it?
Is there somthing else that has to be done to compile a package

another question whats the difference between
logitechmediaserver.funpkg and logitechmediaserver.funpkg.1

Re: Packages for FFP 0.7

to download the distfiles, "wget -i SRC_URI" should do.
to compile, you can either invoke the *.funpkg script directly, or use the "compilepkg" script like "compilepkg /path/to/xxx.funpkg". you may want to set TMPDIR, if /tmp is on a ramdisk.

the *.1 file is an old backup, ignore it.
