MiniDLNA 1.0.22 for DNS-323 (funplug)

I've tried hard to find the latest version of the miniDLNA (1.0.22) for my DNS 323 but no luck.

http://www.plord.co.uk/funplug/0.5/ still has the old version. Is there some place someone can point me to? I have a Samsung TV and currently running miniDLNA 1.0.18

Also I'd really appreciate it if someone could PLEASE post easy to follow steps to upgrade it from the previous version.

Appreciate any help someone can provide.

Cheers

Re: MiniDLNA 1.0.22 for DNS-323 (funplug)

Hi Mizu001,

I think I use: http://numsys.eu/divers/minidlna-cvs-fr … 23-compil/
From http://dns323.kood.org/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=44105

The funpkg script doesn't see new versions as upgrade packages.
So just stop minidnla.
Backup /ffp/etc/minidlna.conf to another name/dir.
Backup /ffp/start/minidlna.sh to another name/dir.

Remove the old one with

funpkg -r <oldname>

Name can be found in /ffp/var/packages/.

Install new one.

funpkg -i <newname>

Check the new /ffp/etc/minidlna.conf with the backup version (check for new settings) otherwise copy old one over new one.
Do the same for the /ffp/start/minidlna.sh script.

Check execute bit for the start script and run it.

Both minidlna-01-10-2011-cvs20111001-2.tgz and minidlna-10-09-2011-cvs20110910-2.tgz seem to be version 1.0.22.

I've just installed minidlna-01-10-2011-cvs20111001-2.tgz had the other one previous.

HTH.,

Re: MiniDLNA 1.0.22 for DNS-323 (funplug)

Has anyone noticed that in 1.0.22 version the config file does not have "samsung_external_mta_files = yes" option in the config file? If I add it, I get an error when I start minidlna.

Could this be the reason why my mkv files no longer have auto generated chapters in it?

I believe that option is part of an unofficial patch for minidlna. Here's the corresponding forum post on Sourceforge: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.ph … id=1121518

Unfortunately this is for older source code only. Any updates to this one?

As I just get ffp0.7 I am trying to build an oarm version of the latest 1.0.23 minidlna : hope I ain't gonna have to patch it !

BTW I'm stick building libvorbis for oarm... Anyone got it handy ?

Actually nope. I gave up and switch back to ffp0.5 as the familly was complaining not having their favorite cartoons on TV smile
I did manage to build all the libraries but it fails to build minidlna itself.

Might give it a  try later on. Keep diging smile
Cheers,
