I would be interested in a clear tutorial as well. Maybe someone knows where we can find a good basic one, and maybe some can add extra information that would be specific for our DNS.

lighthttpd has a webdav module.
you only need to install the fun plug.
then you can find all necessary steps on the lighthttpd web site.

I read in the documentation you also need libxml2 and sqlite3. Is that correct? what needs to be changed to the conf file?
I would like to try this, but don't know how. any help would be appreciated.

From what I remember lighthttpd has a limited implimentation of webdav (according to its website). Apache2 is available for the dns323 and apache does contain a good webdav module, but of course it is a much more processor/memory intensive app, besides which I could not get the optware apache2 to work on the dns323.
I would be interested in hearing if you get the lighthttpd working with webdav and what you think of it.
