I installed the built in torrent app via http://dns323.kood.org/forum/t2253-1.05 … using.html - as I am on a Mac. Immediately previous I upgraded to 1.05 and then I installed the torrent app.
Mostly it worked, for which I am greatly thankful. It never would add torrents via file upload. It would say it took the torrent, but it wouldn't actually add. No problem, as adding by url worked just fine. Except over the last 3-4 months it has gotten less and less reliable. It will say "Torrent URL has been sent" but it won't add them any more. It got worse and worse, and now it will not add new torrents at all. None. I tried to download the inauguration and nothing. Nothing.
Anyway, Does anyone know what diagnostic tests I need to run, or what further information you might need to troubleshoot me? Thank you so much for this valuable source of information.

I have the same error. FW 1.6. Built in torrent client. I can add torrent url, hit okey, and then nothing. I think I have used the torrent function about 15 times and now it doesn't work anymore.

Did you reboot your unit? I used the built in BT client before and reboot seems to be the only way to have it running again.

Same here for me. I revert to 1.05 and built in torrent works again since 1.06 didn't give that much more than 1.05

I rebooted. Still cannot add via url. Add torrent via file works though.

Try again with 1.06 and here what happens. First torrent download works for a while. I pause torrent and try to get it up again and can't get access to the web interface. The only thing to do is to shutdown with front panel button, wait a while and power on. The web access has been back but BitTorrent was no longer working for any torrent.
Revert to 1.05 and torrent are back and works fine all the time.

I actually have the same problem with FW 1.5 downloading from piratebay

Mininova has worked everytime for me running 1.06
I haven't tinkered with the add via URL, but adding a file so far has worked everytime. I've downloaed 1 torrent at a time and last night I was downloading 4 at the same time without a hitch. Even stopped the torrent after 30minutes like I asked it to.

Then I guess PB has changed something. Or?

Same problem here. Allthough I should consider myself as a Noob (see my other thread about not being able to find the gui)
Any suggestions anyone?

Ya, TBP added IPv6 addressing on January 19. That's around the time pasting the URL quit working for me. Looks like the DNS-323 requests the IPv6 address then just stalls.
My temporary fix is to make my dns server act as master for thepiratebay.org zone for my internal network. Then I added only the IPv4 addresses.

Not exactly the solution for dummies ;-)
So you think this will only not work for TPB torrents? I'll check!
Yep, you're right. This is only a problem for TPB torrents. Guess I'll have to use mininova instead...

Well if we can get the 323 to not request IPv6 addresses that should fix it.

In windows there's something like a host table. Is this also possible in Linux?

There must be many out there that has the same problem. Torrents from piratebay doesn't work. If the problem is the IP6-thing then surely we must do something about it. Anyone have a simple solution for us?

Same problem here, won't add by URL.... will work ONLY by file. Hope someone figure out why. My thread; http://dns323.kood.org/forum/viewtopic. … 278#p31278
