Hi,
I was following: http://dns323.kood.org/howto:bettersamba (the part How to Make the DNS-323 Work with UNC Paths)
I saved the config using firefox. I made the change (without typo) using a text editor that only uses LF. And then I put it back in using firefox. It then rebooted. After the reboot, the web interface never comes up. The device still works though. I can connect to the shared drives over SMB. I can still SSH to the device.
When I SSH to the device, I do a netstat, and I notice that it is not listening on port 80 or 443 which tells me it isn't loading the web server. I run dmesg and there are no errors that I can see.
Any ideas? If I knew how, I would try to manually start the web server, but I don't.
As for the firmware, not sure, it was the newest one back in march-ish.
Another thing, since the change, every time I reboot, one of the drives lights flashes (blue) really fast for about 5 minutes after booting. It then goes back to normal and only flashes upon activity.
Thanks for the help.

possibly a corrupted config file. to start the webserver from the console enter /web/webs &
is the light flashing not normal behaviour (though 5 minutes does sound rather long)

Hi Thanks for the reply.
I ran the script you mentioned and this is what it outputs:
/web/ddns.conf:2: no such option '-----------------------------168072824752491622650073--' Segmentation fault
The content of that entire file is:
-----------------------------168072824752491622650073--
It had the ^M at the end of both lines, so I removed them and it still does the same thing.
I still have an original untouched copy of my CfgBackup. Is there a way I can re-import that now without the web interface?
Or can someone give me the contents of their ddns.conf so I can put that in?
Thanks

It's not quite that easy. There is a copy of ddns.conf in the NVRAM which is corrupted. Take a look at this
thread http://dns323.kood.org/forum/viewtopic. … 445#p13445 for a solution.
